Hung up as soon as they heard my voice - probably looking for a vulnerable old lady!

Said call blocking for landline was on its way, requested by my phone provider. Had my name, address, phone no. (obviously), so all sounded reasonable. But c/wouldn't tell me who my phone provider was and said I was a state pensioner (I'm not) she only told me very quickly and quietly at the end that it would cost £179 reduced from £379, so I told her no. But I was on the ball this afternoon, anyone tired, ill, vulnerable, stressed may well have thought it genuine.

Called by a foreign lady offering to block nuisance calls for a fee of £179. Because I'm of retirement age this will be a one-off charge and the device will be perpetual. Fee will collected by direct debit. Put me through to finance who wanted my sort code. On my refusal to give it, he rang off. Scam

Who ever it was never said who was. Calling but my landlines was insecure I told that was utter rubbish as I would had a message from my supplier to my mobile phone and I ha ent had any such message

Said that they were about to send me a call blocker, which I had not ordered. They had my name, address and the fact that I am a pensioner. When they started to talk about charging £180.00 plus a monthly fee for this service, which I did not want I told them that it was not required and I hung up. This is a scam.

Received call on very crackly line and sounded quite professional. Spoke with a South African accent. Handed me over to another guy with a similar accent on a much clearer line. As soon as they made it clear that there was to be a charge for the so called blockers I hung uo..

Nuisance blocking equipment only had my name & postcode. I said I could block calls through my provider & have seen the warnings of this scam on tv. Don’t touch!
