Scam email saying I bought a laptop from eBay. Want me to call this number, but it's clearly a trick. Deleted!

Got an email about purchasing an Acer laptop. Sounds fishy. Avoid contacting this number.

An email from "E-Bay" saying I've paid for an Acer laptop. They want me to call this number if I want to report as a fraud.

Email said I bought a laptop I never ordered. Called this number and got no real help. Scam alert!

Had the same eBay laptop email scam. Do NOT call this number. This is a fraud attempt.

I too have just received an email telling me to call this number if I suspected fraud on my Ebay account. It came from a gmail address so was obviously a scam. Deleted email.

I also received an email purportedly from eBay with an invoice for an Acer laptop (Ultra Slim i7, £449.95) that told me to call this number if I didn't place such an order (which I hadn't: I've never used eBay). Email address was a personal name plus a bunch of numbers at icloud.com, rather than anything that looked like an eBay email address.

This email said I bought a £450 laptop on eBay. But I didn’t make any purchases. Obvious scam.

Yet another scam email pretending to be from eBay, asking me to call this number for fraud protection. Totally fake!!!

This is a fraudulent number. Received an email claiming I made an eBay purchase. Don’t fall for it!

I've also received an email claiming to be from ebay stating that I had purchased a laptop and to call this number if I suspected it was fraud. Checked my eBay, no such purchase, I'll not be calling this number thanks!

Attempted Ebay fraud from spurious gmail account, interestingly no malicious links as they are pushing you to ring this number and scam you in person.

09:19 Scam email supposedly from ebay re purchase of Acer Laptop. The scammer seems to be using an identical email to scam people all over the UK. Email deleted and information about the scam circulated to local Neighbourhood Watch and police correspondent at local Residents Association

I also received same email at 08:32 this morning, supposedly from "eBay-receipts" saying I've paid £449.99 for an Acer laptop. They want me to call this number if I want to report as a fraud.

Exactly the same for me - email received from Ebay - order confirmation for an Acer laptop, ask you to call this number if you didn't place the order. Called the number, clearly the individual who answered isn't from ebay. Some kind of scam.

i had an email from this number I did call them from my work number so i don't thinks they got any details from me. I gave them the wrong order number and they still said i had ordered a laptop but i gave no details to them it makes me feel really sick knowing that they are trying to get my details over the phone

Yet another email from “E Bay” confirming my order for an Acer PC, telling me to ring this number if I did not place the order. Am assuming it’s an attempt to scam, or a premium cost number, or similar.

Scam call centre. Sent an email saying I'd supposedly purchased an Acer laptop and this is the number to call for the "Fraud protection team". This is classic scammer behaviour; if you ring, they will ask for your credit card number or bank account number and steal your money. DO NOT CALL THESE PEOPLE! BE WARNED!
