Caller pretender to be from O2 and I needed a new SIM. On telling him I did not have a phone with O2, he hung up. They are calling me 2-3times per day - very annoying. I block them each time only for them to use a different number.

This caller posed as an energy consultant offering free government-funded upgrades like new boilers or loft insulation, but their story fell apart when I asked about the specific scheme or their Ofgem registration. Heavy accent and echoey line suggested overseas boiler room, and after a quick online check I found dozens of identical complaints about data harvesting or upselling dodgy contracts, so I reported it to my provider and urge others to do the same before these pests evolve their script.
