Caller said it was appliance insurance, asked if I had received the paperwork as I was entitled to a disount. I hadn't, he then wanted to know my date of birth to resend the paperwork. Also wanted to know who I bank with. I asked to speak to a manager and he said sorry no, he would get the sack. Claimed he could cancel my policy and it would cost around £300 (which is more than the annual premium I currently pay). A highly suspicious and upsetting call.

After hearing message machine call was terminated before I could answer it. It’s difficult for older people to quickly get to ph to answer only to have no one there when you finally reach ph. Mind though if it was a sales cold call that would be annoying as well for same reason.

Showing as 'suspected spam' so I rejected it. Didn't leave any message so likely cold selling or scam calling
