I'm getting about 8 calls a day from various numbers, which is really getting on my nerves. I was just asked if I had any debts to pay off, like 5k, 8k, 10k etc. I kept asking which company had referred them to me, and they wouldn't say. I recently had a phone scam issue with an official mobile phone provider company which was sorted out by the executive, and it went back and forth between debt companies as part of their standard procedure. He had been very helpful, and had assured me in writing that I wouldn't have to pay anything if I returned the phone (I had), and eventually it was all sorted out. However I'm wondering if maybe my details had been sold off by the debt collectors. On the other hand, I'm getting harassed by calls nonstop all day long and I keep asking them to remove my number. Normally official companies are very good, so I think this could even be a hacking or data leak.
