THIS NUMBER IS DEFINITELY A SCAM!! I have just confirmed it with EE who luckily locked my account. They were offering a discount (approx 30%) and then send you a one time pin number which you read back to them which apparently gives them access to your EE account allowing them to be able to order a new phone. Although that would come to your address they then call and say it was an error on their part and could you send it back to an address they give you!! Luckily I googled this number whilst I was on the phone but not before giving them the one time pin code. EE were extremely helpful in immediately locking my account and no harm was done.

My phone warned it was a dangerous communication but I answered it for sport really. Caller couldn't tell me what my last bill was and tried desperately to box his way out of providing that information l.

Claimed to be from EE offering 40% discount, but didn't even know my name. Walsall phone number but caller clearly wasn't from the UK. I terminated the call.

Called claiming to be ee, with a phone upgrade. He asked me what phone I have, I challenged him and said you should know as ee normally knows what phone I have when offering deals. Then when I told him I'm going to Google the phone number while he is on the line as my phone told me it was a scam, he told me their is no need to do that as he is ee. Then asked me to do something with a code when he text me.

Claimed to be from EE. Heavy accent. Did not want to ring back in the evening. Bit persistent. Terminated call.

Also claiming to be from EE and offering me 40% discount. Challenged him this was a scam and he wanted to text me to prove it wasn’t but I declined. He was very polite even when challenged and accepting of the phone call being ended.
