Called twice claiming to be from our energy suppliers, they knew the name on the account, my name and wanted more info about tariffs and usage. Not sure what they can do with info (no bank details given). Possibly mining data for other brokers.

Called claiming to be from Total Energies. Unable to provide password on the account. Knew supply address. Pushy.

Called claiming to be EDF requesting we switch tarriff. When I questioned if they were genuinuely EDF and mentioned that Googling their phone number brings up reports from other users stating they are British Gas they hung up. Blocked and reported to EDF - who confirmed it is a scam.

Have called 3 times now, same as others claiming to be from British gas asking for our meter number, when asked for confirmation became very pushy

Phoned as YU Energy with a slightly incorrect postcode wanting to confirm and wanted me to get meter number off the bill. When i told them i didnt not have accross to the bill and they would have to phone back, the man was very pushy that i just had to look at the email and syarted to sound quite angry. I quickly ended the conversation after that.

Lady said she was from EDF Energy .. and knew my supplier number on my invoice, bit concerning and having googled this I am a bit worried. I have called EDF and they have put this phone number on their system as Suspected fraud.

Advisor from area utility group offering free check on heating system efficiency. Knew my location vaguely but slipped up on basic facts when I asked for references. Obvious con artist at work.

Energy advisor type with foreign tone reached out about free loft upgrade to save on heating. Knew nothing specific just generic pitch ended when I asked for company proof. Deceptive through and through.
