Constantly ring from different numbers claiming to either be from an energy company or from the health department. Absolute nightmare

They’ve phoned several times, using a different name but it’s always the same voice. She says she’s the local energy advisor. I always hang up.

They reached out claiming to represent the energy department regarding potential rebates for recent price cap changes. The rep was polite and knowledgeable about general policies, which almost convinced me, but the request for immediate EFT details to process the claim was the giveaway. I challenged them on their company policy for such transactions, and they couldn't provide a straight answer. After the call, I confirmed with my provider that no such outreach was happening. These fraudsters are evolving, using current events to hook victims. Protect yourself by never sharing financial data over cold calls and reporting suspicious activity promptly to disrupt their operations.
