Caller claimed to be "Thomas" from British Gas asking about prices. Accent and approach suggested a scam attempt.

Polite lady claiming to be from our energy supplier, which was correct. Said something about our next energy bill was extremely high due to our meter being accidently connected to another's meter and she wanted to cancel this high bill and to do this she needed some details from our last invoice. I said I would not be giving out any details, as I knew she was a scam. She kept saying no mam and they were from meter reading department. I said she would have all our details if she was actually from our supplier and would not need me to read off anything from a past bill. Told her again she was a scam and she should get a real job. Please do not be fooled. These people are a scam and want your details to send you a convincing looking bill, in hope you pay them and they will keep harassing you to pay once they send you a bill, so do not give out any details. Say you will ring your energy supplier to check everything is ok and hang up.

someone rang from this number about 4 times in a hour saying they were our energy provider and we missed urgent invoices. i asked for their details so we could call them back and they refused saying we cant call them back and it has to be done now. i told them we knew they were scammers and were going to report them and hung up

Had a number of missed calls, the chap was insistent he was from British Gas but all sounded fake.

Foreign tone lady asserted scottish power link our actual supplier noted excess fee issue blocking bill creation. Classic line probing for bank access or similar. Hung up sharp and checked real account no problems there. These tricks target trust in known brands to slip in hooks for data grabs.

Caller keeps ringing persistently saying he is from EDF and will not take "no" for an answer. Rings off and calls again and again.

Multiple calls (business), very pushy. Claims to be from energy supplier (which they got right), saying there is a problem with the meter readings and just want to confirm the mpan. Not sure what the scam is, but I know there is no meter issue. They have so far called me back around 8 times this morning after being told I will not speak with them, but if they are my supplier to email or write to me, which of course he says they can't.
