A call from this number claiming to be from Tesco mobile, saying a new SIM card was on its way to me free of charge, asked for my email address, which I refused, stating they claim to already have it. They hung up and I called Tesco mobile services who confirmed the scam. Their fraud team are now investigating.

I got a call from this telephone number today claiming that they were Tesco Mobile. They wanted me to provide my email address so that they could send me details of a new updated sim card that they were going to post to me totally free of charge. For some reason I got suspicious as this number came up as Spam on my phone. The person I spoke to said that I could confirm the number they were phoning me from against the official Tesco's website. So before I agreed to give them any personal details, I said that I was going to google their tel number to see if it matched with Tesco's customer service. At that point, the person I was talking to ended the call.
