Lady with a strong Asian accent called to say they were from Tesco mobile and they were merging their network soon with another provider and were going to send a new SIM card via post but needed to confirm the details by email. Since I’m on EE and use an eSIM, I knew this was a scam straight away, but I stayed on the phone out of morbid curiosity but once it got boring I just hung up the phone.

The Asian caller claimed to be from EE Network. Never heard it called that before. As we are EE customers, they would have known that basic fact. We just hung up.

Thick asian accent. He claimed to be from HMRC about monies I owed them. Blocked immediately.

Did not answer call to my mobile phone. No message left. Apparently these 01460 numbers may be (probably are) 'virtual numbers' that are used by scammers and cold callers.

Claimed energy loyalty scheme gives access to cheaper mobile deals. Not credible.
