Said my car reg then something about £5000 so I hung up , lots of background noise

Asked if I had received compensation for a car I no longer own. Said I was due £5000 for a manufacturer's fault. I said he was talking rubbish and hung up. Number now blocked. Scottish area code but didn't sound Scottish.
