Thick accent, couldn't understand the company name they said they were calling from. Asked to speak to the manager, when I asked what for they refused, got angry, shouted something and hung up. Instantly called the number back and it says it's not in use!

Just received a call saying they were Smartest Energy and that from the 1st December there had been a problem with our meter and that another business close by was having there usage added to ours.
They got me to give the meter serial number and contract expiry date and if I went through a broker. Also the amount of units used in one month.
Should I report them to someone for continually pretending to be various suppliers phising for info of expiry of contracts.

Called claiming to be from Octopus saying there was a technical fault in my area and wanted me to provide contract expiry dates and other info about my account. I reefused and she then told me that due to me refusing then Octopus cannot be respinsible for any future billing errors HAHA

09/12/25 - Lady called asking for previous electricity invoices as she was from an Electric company. I asker her why she is lieing to people and she said I was wasting her time

Claimed to be from Octopus energy tried to get our details by saying they needed to verify our account number to avoid overbilling as reading mixed up with other supply, then listed numerous other suppliers apart from who we are actually with!

Claimed to be from British Gas, had quite a bit of our company details and wanted my email to get me set up on a portal to check info. I told him that i do not have access to these details and got him to ring head office. Rang me back 2 mins and told me someone had told him that no one was available. Basically he was getting more and more rude to get my email. I told him to ring head office and speak to someone when they are available. He then threatened me with saying that if we get wrong bills it will be my fault and there will be nothing we can do about it and he was going to put a note on our records to say that Miss Karen was uncooperative.

01332 408 832 Called our office today on Friday 28th November 2025 10:37am claiming to be SSE and ask to speak to some who deals with accounts when question more with regards to the account which was lady speaking and when question weather its business account or home account the call ended its spam !

Phoned claiming to be British Gas, had quite a lot of our company details but she was definitely not from British Gas.

pretending to be valda energy - when i questioned about emailing over the information they needed from a valda email, they got suspicious and then i asked about scam they put the phone down

Claiming to be EDF energy and asking to speak to the invoice processor, but doesn't have any details

Claims to be from Total Energies and says there is an issue with our meter. This is not our supplier or meter provider. Has been calling on and off for weeks and has been told on countless occasions to stop. Two calls so far today. Harassing and dangerous!

Caller said they needed meter readings and an up to date invoice. Checked afterwards and it was not my supplier. Definitely a scam attempt.

Chap with an Indian accent. Called claiming to be from British Gas requesting i confirm the meter point reference. When questioned and requested a confirmation e-mail as to who he was he said F*** You and slammed down the phone.
