Very terrible at their job lying about being from British Gas. Just tell them they its not british Gas's phone number and they swear at you then hang up

Received call saying EON to ask us for meter reading as we paid too much and think the meter reading man wrote it down wrong! and the reading is wrong. I asked them what was the reading and could not answer then asked for two of our bills. Told them they would have this! Hung up

Pretending to be British Gas pushing to check details against an invoice about our meter readings not working correctly. Asked them for our account number, couldn't give me it.
Have called around 10 times in the last 2 days from the same number, different people each time.
Don't get the message when I tell them I don't beleive their British Gas and not to call us again, very very pushy - doesn't take no for an answer

They claim they are from British Gas and keep changing the telephone number, when I refuse to give them details of the account.

Called my office pretending to be from EON. I put the phone down immediately and they then called back four times within 90 seconds.

As the other reports on here, claimed to be from British Gas asking about meter details. Got abrupt when I wouldn't give a name. Confirmed with British Gas (my provider) that they were nothing to do with them and to treat suspiciously.

Indian Scam Centre Claiming to be from Scottish Power saying meter number is wrong and asking me to verify our meter number on bill? They're trying to change your electricity provider without consent I believe. Get calls claiming to be from Scottish power all the time claiming we're due for renewal, etc even though we are locked in to a contract. They are obviously able to find out who your provider is and take advantage of that information. Don't fall for it!!

Claimed to be from British Gas and said our automated meter readings were not coming through, wanted me to check against the number they have. I asked why their number was reported as being a scam on multiple occasions but didn't have an answer for that. Thank you Phonely

Claiming to be from an energy provider, wants a meter serial number as claiming there are multiple properties attached to the same supply and there is a billing issue. Clearly a scam, overseas caller.

Claim to be with British gas but did know all my information on my bill and confirmed it down to the tooth. Unfortunatly should have checked the details of the person but they confirmed everything themself only thing they wanted from me was my name and of course made a fake one up and they confirmed that for there records not sure how that will effect me but will update was something happens I suppose

Claimed to be EDF but could not provide any information that EDF would have other than my postcode and supply number (which you can look up). Clearly scammers, saying I had incorrectly been billed and they want to rebill my account.
