Presented to be my energy supplier and wanted to check my bank details. Not a Doncaster accent. Sounded Indian!

100% scam. Based in India Pretend they are Sky. I got offered 30% off my bill. The first proper giveaway it's a scam comes quite early on. The scam is, you agree to having your bill reduced 30%. They then pass you over to their “supervisor” for them to ‘ok’ this 30% off deal! This always rings bells for me. I played along from this point as I wanted to play it out and see where they would take me. You get asked your email. I gave a disposable email (I’m with apple / Hide My Email). They then send you an email with DANGEROUS links which can infect your phone with malware/spyware. I dragged my feet at this point, telling them I didn’t receive the email (when I was clearly reading it). I was researching their phone number while taking to them. Another giveaway was the supervisor getting quite irritated with me while I slowed them down. I got bored, so called them benchods, Saadi Kutti, madhurchods and hung up. Mark Cort. Leicester
