This is a very clever entirely pre-recorded message, trying to convince you that your loft insulation is dangerous. Whatever you say in reply, the machine automatically plays the next part of the script. I have heard the same pre-recorded voice in 2 different scams in the last 24 hours, the previous one was something to do with windows. The telephone number displayed is no doubt fake as well. Blocked using 1572 but they will come back with a different fake number.

James from a "local energy advisor" saying that I was the homeowner of the building. I said no, this is a business he was calling. Then went on to try and push loft insulation despite me telling him several times that this is a business premises which is rented. He would not let me speak and kept speaking over me. I hung up in the end to get rid of him.

Energy advisor pushing for loft insulation. Would not take no for an answer. Told him we were not a residential premises we are business premises and we have no loft. Which is true. He still carried on pushing and questioning about the insulation, I told him repeatedly we are a business premises with no loft, I even told him he wasn’t listening to me. He then carried on (!!!) and asked me what age group I was. It was at this point I had the choice of being extremely rude to him, or hanging up. I hung up. Looking back at how persistent he was and how he didn’t appear to be listening or comprehending what I was saying (he was well spoken, proficient English so no language barriers) I am wondering whether this was some sort of sophisticated AI marketing call. Who knows.

Nuisance calls pushing loft insulation. They call multiple times a day. Really frustrating experience.
