Initial delay then caller with an Indian accent said he was calling to offer me a reduction on my EE phone bill. I am with EE and asked him how much my bill was currently. He outlined a figure which is more than double what I actually pay so I told him that clearly meant he wasn’t from EE and would not be discussing the matter any further. I was surprised when he actually wished me a pleasant rest of the afternoon before the conversation was terminated.

I answered after it had been ringing a while and there was silence, then an automated voice that said 'You have been kicked from this conference' then the line disconnected.

Told me they’re calling from 02. I said I’ve told them to delete my number multiple times and I’ll be reporting due to GDPR breach. He said “I don’t care, report me whenever even to the police ma’am”. Then said they work with EE, Vodafone, 02 and other providers. Absolute joke.
