Have had several calls on my landline over the last few weeks always asking to speak to "Mrs Campbell". (Not me) Not always from this number but if you let them speak it is usually about government grants to increase energy efficiency. Presumably if a man answers they ask to speak to Mr Campbell! My policy with unknown numbers is to say nothing and the call then cuts off. It appears if you speak it triggers a connection to a cold caller. A genuine caller will say "hello" first
