Called saying they were Vodafone and wanted to ask me some questions about my contract. Didnt give them details of my contract as I thought it was odd for Vodafone to call me. Were pushy and rude.

Stated they were Bristish Gas renewing a contract. Clearly not a British Gas number. He stated that he had the meter reference number, I explained that anyone can get a meter reference number. He then proceeded to reel out the address and said to me can you give me the meter reference number. Which I did not have to hand, i explained that and he then said I thought you told me that anyone can get a meter reference number. He was pushing me to sign a new contract which in turn would need bank details to set up a direct debit with them. I then put the phone down and bocked the number. Very arrogant, pushy and rude.
