Caller with an Asian accent claimed to be from British Gas asking for our meter reading. When I refused, he said he would call back. This is not how legitimate suppliers operate.

Asian man said his name was David from British Gas and wanted a meter reading. When I asked for an account number he got confused and claimed the meter was smart or something. Clearly fake.

Claimed they were from an energy company and there was an issue with the meter. Didn't go through security and asked for information which was unnessessery. Advised they would continue to call until I gave the info. I subsequently called my energy provider who confirmed it was not them making the call.
