I wrote the DANGEROUS report "Recorded, very convincing sounding lady..." and sent a report to counter it and confirm and verify that this is genuinely Lloyds Bank Fraud Team and SAFE, but it has not come up yet. Full details are there, but I pointed out to them that it was very difficult to tell.

I was the last to make a report which began "Recorded, very convincing sounding lady". The same recorded lady rang again at 1934. My wife checked her account and there was indeed a declined payment. This time we rang her back and after pressing #1 etc were eventually put through to live lady in the Lloyds Bank Fraud Team who asked a few more questions and immediately confirmed her identity by reading off recent transactions correctly.
My wife has now rung her back on a different number with the usual safeguards (both ways) and is now sorting out the security problem with her. So it is DEFINITELY GENUINE. I am sorry to mislead, and have pointed out to her/them that they could easily have been fake and it was difficult to tell the difference!

Recorded, very convincing sounding lady said all three names of my wife correctly and said they needed to check her bank card because a payment had been declined recently. Press any key etc. We did not!
Reported to ICO as nuisance call but others could easily be taken in.

I was not sure as it sounded very genuine but called land line and ask to verify D.O.B so refused to believe at the beginning but person on phone told me to call my Bank and not wanted any details. Very mixed fillings as when you called number it says "Fraud Prevention Department" so no Lloyds mentioned... After calling Lloyds it turned out to be genuine and it was attempt to fraud my card with doggy subscriptions. Turned out I needed to block my card and getting new one sent. So just call your bank if you not sure and still do not give up your details.
