Received 2 calls on the 7th January, 1 on the 8th January, but no one answered. Received another call today offering an alarm pendent to people in my area free off all costs did I want one. Believed it to be a scam, which i believe was confirmed when he asked for my date pot birth.

Claimed to be offering a pendant fall alarm. Hung up after a few seconds - maybe I sounded less than impressed?
If I needed a fall alarm the I would inquire via Age UK.

Trying to sell me a personal medical alarm which I didn't ask for and don't need. When I asked if this was an unsolicited sales call (which it was) he just said goodbye and rang off. The call was illegal as I am already registered with TPS to prevent unsolicited calls

Our Careline client received a call from this number 08/01/2026 trying to sell her a new careline package. They said to client that they could upgrade to watch alarm worth £300 which she could have for £20.00 per month. Our client then asked then to post her details about this service and she would speak to a family member before making any decisions, then they hung up on them. Our client then call the careline provider (us) to advise us about this incident.

Grabbed the receiver met quiet from their side.

Caller sounded Indian. He said he was from Medical Health Service in Bournemouth and had a list of people in my postcode (said my postcode and it was correct) who were over 50. He said that I could get an alarm pendant so that if I had a fall etc I could get help. He said I needed to press a button on my phone and I would be transferred (I didn't do this obviously). He kept wanting to check my age and he hung up when I said I wouldn't be sharing any personal details. This was the 4th call from this number in the past couple of days but no one spoke before .

Hit on eighth of the month, nothing on the machine, then quit, prob fraud and now rejected. Been calm lately but this breaks it.

Said I was eligible for a life saving device for around my neck because I will drop dead without one because apparently I'm over 50. He gave a postcode but it wasn't even mine,when I asked how he got my details, he cut me off when I asked did he think it was rude to presume my age and postcode he said no but I will drop dead without the device. It scared me saying that. He didn't have any details on me at all just the landline number.
